The Favorite Casino Games of Hollywood Celebrities

Everyone knows that Hollywood has something of an infatuation with casinos. From Rounders to the Ocean's Eleven movies, there are just so many links between Tinseltown and the casino floor that we couldn't even begin to list them. But did you know that it's not just in front of the camera that we find the connection? As you may have guessed from the title, we're talking about celebrities and their love of the casino.

So who likes what? Does Matt Damon like poker as much as his character in Rounders? Does Brad Pitt love the same game as much as he did as Rusty Ryan?

Ben Affleck

It's no secret that Affleck has a serious love of all things casino. He spends a great deal of time playing poker, has won several poker tournaments and is in a relationship with the latest Bond girl, Ana de Armas. What you probably didn't know is that his main passion is the game of blackjack.

Believe it or not, Affleck once won $800,000 in a single night! Incredible, right? He's known to be one of the sharpest players of the game there is and has built a reputation as a blackjack aficionado. A man who can win so well and so consistently is obviously one with a firm knowledge of the main blackjack strategies and the probabilities of winning.

Let's just hope he doesn't focus too much on his love of blackjack because we haven't seen a whole lot of him on the screen of late.

Matt Damon

Affleck's best buddy Matt Damon has played in many iconic roles, but if you're a card player, then his most memorable role was as Mike McDermott in Rounders. And yes, the man himself loves poker almost as much as his character.

Damon has played in several high-profile celebrity poker tournaments and is known as a pretty sharp player. He has even entered into the World Series of Poker and played quite well. Although he has never made it anywhere near the final table.

He's spending a lot of time in Ireland lately so we imagine that he's not getting a whole lot of casino action while there. That said, you never know - the Irish do love their cards.

Pamela Anderson

The queen of Baywatch is a bit of a card shark. Pamela is known to spend a lot of time in the casino when she's in Vegas and has developed a love for poker that has seen her enter celebrity tournaments just like Damon.

But rather surprisingly, she's said to have a bit of a thing for video poker machines. It's hard to imagine Pamela sitting at a machine in Vegas, but hey, the game is universal, right? She's supposed to be quite good too although we have no idea what kind of wins she's had in the past.

Sean Connery

One of the most memorable James Bond actors in history and the man with that accent, it's hardly surprising that Connery likes to hit the casinos. After all, 007 spent a great deal of time on them. But while Bond liked to play baccarat and poker on occasion, Connery prefers roulette.

He loves the game so much that whenever there's a casino in town, he said to drop in so he can place a few bets on the spin of the wheel. On one such occasion, he bet on red 17 and continued to do so for three spins of the wheel. He then let his winnings ride on the next three consecutive spins which all landed on red 17!

That's unbelievable and it's no wonder that 17 is said to be Connery's favorite number. If only we all had the courage to take a chance like that.

Honorable mentions go to 50 Cent, Edward Norton, and Nelly who are all quite fond of a game of poker. Nelly even went so far as to enter the World Series on two occasions but didn't get very far.
