American Housewife is a hilarious situational comedy that follows the life of Katie Otto (Katy Mixon), a mother of three kids who is finding it difficult to fit in with her fancy new neighborhood. Unlike other female-led sitcoms, which feature young adults trying to figure out their way through life, American Housewife highlights the comedic struggles of being an average, run-of-the-mill mother and wife.

Modern Family is also a mockumentary show; however, this series follows the lives of a very large and modern family.
